Lettra, the daily category word game

Every day there is one category and a board of all 26 letters. Name a word that fits the category for as many letters as you can before the clock runs out. Type tiger and you have claimed T; type cat and you have claimed C. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle on the same day, and the result is a grid of coloured squares you can share without giving away a single answer.

The clock is elastic. You start with 45 seconds on Standard and every accepted word adds 3 more, so the round lasts exactly as long as you keep finding words. Three rare letters are marked on the board and pay a bonus, and any time left when you finish is worth points too. The rules page has the full scoring.

There are no accounts and nothing to install. Your streak and your stats live in your own browser, and a new puzzle arrives at midnight, your local time. It takes two or three minutes, which is the whole idea.
